Adding Sub-instruments

Hi! As we need to do very precise measurements, we need to not only add different instruments, but also sub-parts like controllers and power supply units, in order to reduce uncertainty. Unfortunately I currently can’t see an easy option to add these sub-instruments without coding some extra things.
Is there any option to do so without much coding effort?
