Is the software compatible with crystal reports?
If yes, a start point will be appreciated.
I’d say that Crystal Reports cannot read from SENAITE’s non-relational, but object-oriented, database: ZODB - a native object database for Python — ZODB documentation. You may consider GitHub - senaite/senaite.sqlmultiplex: SQL Multiplexer for SENAITE to setup an SQL-like mirror database and let Crystal rely on it, though.
Please note that if you succeed with the creation of results reports via Crystal, SENAITE LIMS won’t be aware of it, so samples won’t transition to “publish” status and reports won’t be saved. You may need to add some logic in your custom add-on to handle this properly so SENAITE LIMS becomes aware and acts accordingly.
