It took me a while, but I did find Senaite installation instructions that work as of 27-Jul-2024: Wikipaulia — An epidemiologist dabbles in statistics, coding, open source software and the cloud.
I was able to use these on a Ubuntu Amazon Lightsail VPS and get a functioning installation of Senaite.
