I’m currently setting up SENAITE for use in a clinical lab environment, and I have two related questions:
Does SENAITE support generating a “protocol number” or “service ticket” when a patient is registered or a sample is collected?
I understand that each sample has a unique Sample ID, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to generate a formal protocol or receipt for the patient, like a service confirmation or request form.
Is there native support for entering clinical information, like a patient’s anamnesis (symptoms, medical history, medications, etc.)?
If not, what would be the best approach to include or attach this kind of information to the sample or patient record?
Any suggestions on how to achieve this via customization or integration would be greatly appreciated.
However, it seems more reasonable to use a dedicated EHR system for managing medical records, while the LIMS component focuses on automating laboratory workflows.
