I am new to Senaite and trying to customize it to fit the specific needs of my lab. I want to add some custom fields to track additional data for samples, but I am unsure how to do this without disrupting the current workflows or breaking anything.
Can anyone guide me on:
- Where and how to add custom fields?
- Any best practices to keep in mind for customization?
- If there are risks of affecting updates or compatibility later?
I have already checked the documentation, but I am still unclear on the exact steps. I would really appreciate if someone could explain or point me to a detailed guide/tutorial.
I have also searched this topic on this site https://community.senaite.org/t/custom-sample-creation-fields-and-value-assignment-through-api-blue-prism but I could not find anything helpful for me.
