Senaite version compatible with Python 3.x

Hello SENAITE community,

I’m a newbie to SENAITE, one of my colleague was telling we do have a SENAITE version for python 3.x. Can somebody show some lights to the relevant link for that version for installation/setup docus

Hi @jinsthomas,
SENAITE is not yet compatible with Python 3.x because we still have dependencies to the Archetypes framework for the used content types.

However, we have a roadmap and constantly doing progress into this direction:

# P8: Plone 5 + Python 3 Upgrade Guide

This document is inteded to give a rough plan how to achieve an upgrade of
[SENAITE][SE] to the latest [Plone 5][P5] codebase in combination with Python 3.
Therfore, it is named *P8*.


## Why Python 3?

The current codebase of [SENAITE][SE] is only compatible with Plone 4 and Python
2.x. Python stops support for the 2.x series by January 2020.


## How to achieve it?

SENAITE needs to be first compatible with Plone 5 in combination with Python 2.
It need then to be checked if the [Archetypes framework][AT] is compatible with

Thanks alot @ramonski That was my understanding too, but one colleague other way, so i got a bit confused.
